MagicYour Band Covers- problems sticking?

Hello DISers!

We just got our magic bands and I applied our magicyourbands covers (2-piece). My daughter's cover is not sticking very well. The first set would not stay on at all. The second set is staying on a little bit, I keep having to press down the edges- specifically the ends. I pressed on them hard around the edges but nothing is really working. Has anyone else had issues with this? I am wondering if I should use a little glue on them.

try putting clear fingernail polish over them and then pressing on ends with toothpicks or something; I know when ppl put temp tattoos on the bands, they cover with polish as well.

I would maybe try cleaning her Magic Band with rubbing alcohol first to make sure there aren't any greasy fingerprints or anything on it and then trying again. If that doesn't work, I'd contact them and see if you can get a replacement.

I didn't think to clean the bands first. I was so excited to get them! I've had the covers for months and I just wanted to see them on the bands. They seem to be sticking better now. Maybe they just needed time to bond. I just can't straighten out the band or else parts of the cover pop up. But they look great! I am so excited to wear mine!

I wonder if you try taking a hairdryer to it once it's on might help it bond a little better...not super high heat, but a light amount of warmth might help.

It's very unusual. I'd suggest giving the MagicBand quick clean with nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol as even brand new bands can have dust and fingerprints on them. Generally speaking, once they're on, they're on until you physically want to peel them off. Warm heat with a hairdryer will set the adhesive a little more but not strictly necessary.

There are instrcutions and a video in our FAQ that should help with the application.

Do contact me if you have any specific issues, always happy to help.

I always wipe the band down with a static microfiber dust cloth and then an alcohol wipe or rubbing alcohol, let it dry and apply the decal. Then to be on the safe side I warm it with my blow dryer.

I designed 11 different covers for all of us on our trip and everyone loves them.

I got decals from a different source, but they're very similar. I swabbed my band with rubbing alcohol, then used a hair dryer to help the stickers adhere. I finished them off with a couple of coats of clear nailpolish. So far so good! We'll see how it holds up in the Parks.

Thanks everyone! I got new bands today and they are sticking much better. I cleaned them first with alcohol swabs. I love them!
