DL Das question

Ok taking the autistic wonder twins to DL for a day when we go see grandma this summer. It will be our first visit with out gac. We used das at Disney world last year and it worked pretty well when combined with fpp but that doesn't exist at land. As my husband works for a school all of our trips have been in the summer so I am aware it will be crowded. My girls are obviously autistic and I expect zero problems getting das and getting our medical strollers tagged as wheelchairs. My real concern is fantasy land where none of the lines are wheelchair accessible. My first question is I know das return is linked to your ticket but what about wheelchair return times? And is it really important to get the right one? For example if I get a das return for Peter pan and then show up at my time with my girls in their chairs will they say we got the wrong return time? Or say we have a return time for Alice through das and we want to take advantage of the short wait for Mr toad while we wait, will they give us a wheelchair return time or depending on the wait let us ride through the wheelchair entrance if I am already holding a das return? Doesn't look this is a real problem in other parts of the park but fantasy land is a puzzlement. Help please.

You can't double dip. So if you have a DAS return time for Alice, if you do to Mr. Toad and they're giving out WC returns you won't be able to get one until you use Alice. Are they completely confined to the strollers? In that situation I'd just go through the normal Mr. Toad queue. It's mostly outside, whereas the WC/DAS return queue accommodates about 2 parties at a time. Same with Pinocchio. That queue is relatively short and open with a small return area, so using a DAS or WC return makes more sense elsewhere.

The double dipping thing applies everywhere. So you couldn't, for example, have a DAS return for POTC or Indy and then go through the WC return for the other attraction (because those rides are almost always giving out returns, in theory if you had a DAS for POTC and Indy wasn't giving out returns you could go through the WC queue, but that's not going to be the case during the summer.)

Right and that's all right in most parts of the park because there are enough rides you can get a chair in the normal line but if I am reading this right I can't take their chairs through ANY normal line in fantasy land so I'm not sure your suggestion for toad/Pinocchio would work......

That's why I asked if they were confined to the strollers. If they can walk through a short queue, that's your best solution. That or bring things to occupy yourselves in FL between wait times.

I wonder if they would take our chairs at the wheelchair entrance and then let them walk back around to wait in a short line, they might be able to make it through a short line but I need the chairs at the end for transition or melt down.

I doubt it. The whole point of the wheelchair return times is that the space is extremely limited. There is stroller parking near most rides, you could look for the spot closest to the exits. You could have one parent ride and one parent wait, maybe. Or ride with one parent, one girl at a time, but then that takes twice as long. You may be able to find out at the line exits how long the WC return waits are, and then compare to the DAS returns before deciding which will be a shorter wait. And then another strategy might be if it's a multi-day trip, just don't do all of FL on the same day. Then you could do an attraction, get a return time, have lunch, use return time, then the next day do another attraction, get a return time, see a show, use return time.
