Hello All!

Our trip is scheduled for 11/27-12/4. DH and I went to Disney World 2 years ago, but this time we invited our brother & sister in law and 3 nieces that we adore. Ages will be 5, 3, and 1 1/2. I like to plan, so naturally I have taken over the ADR and fast pass responsibilities.

We are actually surprised them with an all expenses paid trip so we decided to go with the deluxe dining plan in order to have everything already payed for. We can just go and enjoy our meals and order whatever we want! DH and I will be going to Universal for one day so I have worked out all the credits to get us a few signature meals. I tried to make it a nice combo between character meals for the kids and other restaurants for the adults.

We are staying at Art of Animation. Last time we did an All Star resort, but needed an private bedroom to get the kids to sleep.

So far I have been able to get more ADR that I wanted, even CRT but not at an ideal time. Current reservation is at 10:20 AM. We are doing CRT, BOG, O'Hana, Hollywood & Vine, Akershus, Hollywood & Brown Derby, and more.

The thing I am most nervous about is still enjoying it with the added responsibility of kids. DH and I don't have any of our own *yet* and last time we were able to do ride after ride and at our leisure. We are hoping we are easily able to switch with the other adults in our party.

One thing we have not been able to decide on it any special events to do? i.e. Mickey's Christmas Party. They just seem so expensive. When DH and I went 2 years ago the food and wine festival was there and we did a dessert party with a viewing of illuminations. The desserts were a let down and there didn't seem like adequate seating as everyone had to run in and find a table. It was a stampede! Any recommendations for this time of year?

We have to close our small business for the week in order to go on vacation so we really want to do things right! I look forward to talking with you more and enjoy reading your posts!

I'm new also and I'm trying to figure out how to PM so that I can get some ADRs for my trip scheduled 11/14-11/20. I have 4 children and need to get some reservations. My trip wasn't planned 180 days out so I was not able to get ADRs as expeditiously as others. Any advice because I am having no luck with dining.

Sorry to hear. When DH and I went by ourselves we only had 60 days and were able to get some ADR, but with being a party of 2 it was much simpler. Are you a party of 5 or 6 total?

Other than endlessly searching morning and night there is a website called disney dining assistant where you can pay and they will let you know via text or email when reservations become available. I was able to get CRT a few days ago and I am 45 days from my vacation. I have been told it may be easier within a week of two of your visit because that is when people are most likely to cancel. Hope this helps!

I'm a party of 6--oh wow! How did you get CRT? I thought that Disney dining assistant was shut down. Did you use it to get CRT?

Disney dining buddy was shut down, but not disney dining assistant! I got BOG and CRT because of them! Also, customer service is fantastic. Emailed them with a few questions and got responses very quickly.

When I go to their website, it says they are not taking new customers....I have been trying to figure this out for weeks and of course I'm trying to book dining in the middle of all of these dining website shut-downs. I went to disneydiningassistant.com....I would be a new customer and it says they aren't taking any...I'm bummed and tired of searching for dining!
