Don't Mind Me, Just Talking Disney to Myself - #2MORESLEEPS - Airline Issues :/

OMG! WE ARE TWO WEEKS OUT!

I just bought my shuttle ticket to get from the airport to my sister's plaZce. The shuttle office/drop-off is 5 miles away from her which is perfect! I didn't want to make my sister, BIL and niece have to suffer through a 3 hour round-trip car ride to and from the airport since we'll be stuck in the car for 6+ hours the following day.

I can't believe I'm two weeks out. This is amazing and surreal. We've waited nearly 2 years for this trip and are unbelievably excited. Please keep us in your prayers that nobody gets sick, breaks or sprains anything, or experiences any financial disasters between now and then. I'm not superstitious but things can happen.

Here's my schedule for the next two weeks:

Saturday (8/29) - Optometrist appointment; Get sunglasses and current glasses adjusted
Saturday (9/05) - hair color and cut (thanks mom!)
Sunday (9/06) - Pedicure
Monday (9/07) - NO WORK! Labor Day! Finish packing checked luggage & double check all lists
Thursday (9/10) - Check-in for my flight to ATL; Pack carry-on & personal items
Friday (9/11) - Work, gym, dinner. Be at LAX at 10 PM!

For my toes, I'm thinking to do a simple Disney theme. Kinda Donald Duck colors and kinda Up-ish.

So something like this photo, mostly the ring finger.

Because of my job, I can't go too crazy with my hair. I really would love to dye it some crazy color. I bought L'Oreal Feria power violet from CVS so I hope it makes a difference in my darker brown hair.

It's more purple than red, which will be different for me. My sister is a SAHM and she died her hair a brighter purple and it looks awesome! I'm jealous!

HOORAY FOR THE MAIL!
I had a bunch of deliveries waiting for me when I got home after work.

I got my travel wallet

My traveling buddies who will be decorating our room window

and my iPhone charging cord

According to my tracking number, my clothes should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully it all works out so I can toss what I'm going to take into my luggage.
I need to find one or two layering tanks for a few thin/shorter shirts and then I'll hopefully be done with shopping.

I love those polka dot nails!

Manicures are wasted on me, because I can't keep one nice for more than a day. I am not very good at being a woman :sad:

For our trip mine were a shimmery dark red with a simple small white Mickey head dotted onto my left ring fingernail. It's the only one I didn't have to touch up during the trip...Must have been Mickey Magic pixiedust:

Normal manicures wouldn't stay on me either so I get gel for my hands, it last so much longer and doesn't get easily chipped.

I am getting a regular pedicure because the color lasts forever...since I don't use my feet to do dishes or other stuff

UPDATE! UPDATE! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

I am fully packed. I repeat: I am fully packed!
I can't believe I am set to fly 11 days in advance.

After watching a brazillion (how many's a brazillion?!) youtube packing videos, I wanted to attempt to move all my stuff from my 24' luggage to my carry-on. I really didn't want to throw away $50 (RT) on checking my suitcase.

And I was successful!

I did take out the white plastic mailing bag. It definitely wouldn't have fit but it fits perfectly, even leaving room for other stuff, in my personal item: a cute backpack I bought online from Target for $7.19 and since I used my Redcard, I was able to get it shipped for free. It's really cute, too!

I am expecting a pair of shorts in the mail and I have to throw in a second pair of sneakers (I use them at the gym) and my flip flops.

Eeek! So soon!

My mom is going to color and cut my hair this weekend (yay for free!) and I have a pedicure appointment on Sunday with a girl who does really great nail art. I'm trying to find something on Pinterest to save to my phone so I can show her when I go for my appointment.

Monday is a holiday so I don't have to go to work. I love that it will be a long weekend to get a lot done and a shorter work week before my trip!

I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to wear on the plane.
I'm doing a red-eye so I might get a little chilly on the plane but by the time I get off the shuttle in Columbus it's going to be in the high 80's/ low 90's and 60%+ humidity. So maybe I'll wear my jean shorts, a t-shirt and a light zip up jacket. Since it might be chilly in the plane, I'll wear one pair of my sneakers and throw my flip flops into my backpack.
I plan to change into some house clothes to bum around my sister's place for the rest of the day. I'll be helping her pack, clean and play with the little one.

I might pack my Sunday clothes in my backpack so I don't have to even worry about opening my carry-on and forgetting something at her apartment.

9 days until I get on the plane for the first leg of my journey!

Pinterest is definitely a time suck! I try to avoid it because it's never ending with the link upon link upon link. Almost as bad as Netflix's auto-playing an entire TV series for you.

I wish SW did red-eye flights because I'd be on that like white on rice.
We are flying SW for Thanksgiving trip to see family so it's nice to know I can bring two bags free. I assume I'll need them for my cold weather gear.
