Thank you sirenia88 and bishoparc for rounding up the September and October campers, and now perhaps we can round up some November 2015 campers. The announcement format could have your User Name, dates, camper/cabin/tent, perhaps where you are hailing from. And, since we'll be there around both turkey day and Christmas celebrating, will anyone participate with decorating or special events.

The Mojo Supreme and DH from South Carolina
We will be glamping the week before Thanksgiving. We'll be taking our golf cart looping in hopes to see early holiday decorations!

Anyone else?

Yes!

It just keeps getting better and better!

We did the week before Thanksgiving last year. When we arrived the Fort had the fall decorations up. During the 3rd night they put up the Christmas decorations. We got to see them both. You'll love it.

Going to miss you this year tiggerdad we will be there again with our new rig first 3 weeks of November.

Pluto67, good to hear from ya man! Yeah, hate we gonna miss the Christmas run but the fall break from school for the kids was just a better option. It may very well be the last fall/winter run we get for a while.

New rig? Is it bigger than the last one?

My sister has camped there more times than I can count. Also have Dec and March 2016 booked.

Charleston SC October 31 - November 2

We stayed at the Fort for the first time 2 years ago during Thanksgiving week. We believe this is one of the best times to stay due to weather and crowds.

Congratulations on your retirement! You've planned a great trip. We're in SC and you can expect still pleasant weather when in Charleston, as the hurricane season is "officially" over the 1st of November. Where are you camping there?

We too think that the crowds and weather will be agreeable for November campers.

Congratulations themojosupreme on both your 25th anniversary and being cancer free for 10 years!! Life is good!!
We are staying at the Mt Pleasant KOA. We had looked at James County Park. Any feedback that we should be aware of would be greatly appreciated.

:welcome: to the Fort family. I hope that you and your family have a safe trip to and from the Fort. Try to make time for a Fort day and possibly a night at Chip and Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long. Roasting marshmallows over the fire and movie always seems to be popular with the kids.

Awww, thanks! Since we are arriving late in the evening, probably around 8 pm, on Thanksgiving, I scheduled our next day as our Fort day. I figured that Friday would be busy in the parks anyway so we have brunch at Chef Mickeys at 11 am, then plan to ride the monorail to check out the gingerbread house at the GF before heading back to the Fort, then we pick up our golf cart from Disney which I just rented for the one day. I don't think we would use a cart enough to make it worthwhile for the whole week cause we are pretty open to close park people but the kids will enjoy riding in it for our one fort day. Hoping it will be warm enough to hit the pool for a little bit, then we plan on doing the campfire that night along with some looping in the cart to check out Christmas decorations. I think that will make a pretty good day at the Fort!

We LOVE traveling in our RV, we have a very nice class A with bunkbeds. I'm sooooo happy that I finally talked DH into making the 13 hour drive to Orlando!!

Steve, wish I could give you feedback on those campgrounds but we drive over there. Both locations are good to go Charleston sightseeing. Based on what I reviewed online, picking the KOA would be the one I would choose. If I learn more, will private message you. You'll love Charleston.

The DW and I appreciate you taking time to look. We are really excited about our first trip to Charleston. We are going to tour Fort Sumter also. Being a person who enjoys learning about our country's history, I'm really excited about this opportunity. Again, thanks for your time and feedback.

We haven't stayed at the KOA but James Island County Park is an awesome campground. The people are super nice and all of the sites that we have stayed on were great. It's been a while since we have been there so I do not remember specific site numbers.

Thought I would jump in here. We'll be there Oct 29- Nov 8. Congratulations JETS70. This will be my retirement trip also. I'm retiring for the fire service on Sept 30th with 27 years. We have spoken before and I hope we can meet up for an adult beverage one evening after you arrive. I will have a cart so getting around will be easy.

Forgot to add it will be myself, the wife and 3 girls and maybe one small fur child. We requested 700 loop.

Hello! We are flying down from WV (well technically driving to Pittsburgh and flying from there) on November 14. Be at the fort in a cabin until the 21st. We used to have a camper but sold it last year. We still love campground life so the cabins were a perfect choice. 3rd disney trip, 1st at the fort! Celebrating our 15th anniversary with the family- mom, dad, dd10, and dd7. It's getting so close!
