Amanda & Josh's Wishes Wedding - 05.04.15 - SBP/Attic/UK Lochside - The End (Complete)

Your Epcot photos are gorgeous. And the photo that your friend thinks makes you look like you're channelling Elsa, I think it looks like it came right out of a bridal magazine, beautiful.

Before I forget, I totally stole your indentation formatting for my own table of contents, it makes it so much easier to read!!

Obviously I adore your Italy pictures :) It's just such an elegant and classy pavilion and the photos you got in Italy are soooooo gorgeous. I love your mean face ones :D

I have to say I think my favorite one of them all is sitting in the photo in the Japan restaurant. LOVE! The silhouette is just stunning. I hope you enjoyed your nap, can't wait for Sanaa (it'll probably be a few years before Kevin branches out enough for there!)

OMG I have been gone way to long I missed your post on your park pictures and let me just say they are AMAZING! So breathtakign the ones in epcot with the fluffy clouds in the back are amazing! You guys look so in love I love it and I am glad you choose Japan i love the waterfalls it is really pretty and will look great on a wall! and I love the Elsa picture my moh is the same way with her natural face! :goodvibes Can't wait for more pictues popcorn::

Those Epcot shots are beautiful. Overall your portrait session has AWESOME lighting, thanks nature, haha.

LOVE!! Even though you said you were exhausted, you didn't look it & you look so in love. I love that!
Super pretty! Now you're making me look at my budget again, but I don't think we will be able to do a portrait session.

My dd10 is already planning her wedding based in large part on your pictures. Thanks for sharing, now I better start looking for a second job so I can start saving for her wedding :goodvibes
:goodvibes Thank you! My dream of having a Disney wedding actually started when I was just a little older than that. I saw a TV special featuring a Disney wedding, one with way more spectacle than ours, and I never forgot about it!

Thank you! That shot in Japan was one of those shots where I couldn't tell how it was actually looking, so it was a nice surprise. Josh isn't a very adventurous eater, but he will eat Indian food (and Sanaa). They have a steak at dinner that seems mostly 'picky husband' safe! :D The bread is the best part, though! Hopefully you get to try it someday. :)

Haha... yeah, we definitely lucked out with the weather that day (and on our wedding day)!

Those Epcot shots!!! :D So many wonderful pictures!
:D Thank you!

Thanks! :) At least Disney has removed the time restraint on going back to do portrait sessions later. So even if it's not possible for your VR, the option is at least open in the future.

OMG. . .I have totally been MIA even from my planning journal (I have been on the disbrides diary on FB. . .lol). . . Everything looks beautiful and I know this is a small detail, but I do like that you didn't slick back your baby hair. . .looks really pretty. :)

Thanks! And, I have to be honest... if it weren't so fine, I totally would have. One of these days, I'm going to pull a Kim Kardashian and have all of the baby hair lasered off. :lmao:But thank you!

I was wondering, did your sundae bar come with root beer and coke and did your customized package include the fruit punch. If so, was the fruit punch good or should I add a soda and water bar? Thank you. :)

The sundae bar did not include root beer and coke, so you would have to add that. My customized package included fruit punch, water, hot tea, and coffee (I think). The fruit punch was great! If the budget had allowed for it, having a bar (or soda) would have been nice but certainly not necessary. Everyone seemed content with either water or the fruit punch.

Day 6: AKL and tired evening in MK

We woke up from our nap, freshened up really quickly, and ran outside to catch a cab. There was a bit of confusion – the valet had us go in a van rather than a regular cab because someone complained that they wanted to go first. It was the same price though, so whatever. After we reached Kidani, we checked in at Sanaa and were seated immediately. Our waiter was incredible and quickly brought over drinks to celebrate our wedding/honeymoon. Can someone identify exactly what this drink is called? I think it may have been a bellini. It was bubbly and sweet, with a fresh raspberry at the bottom of the glass. It was delicious. Even Josh, who basically never drinks, said it was good.

As always, we ordered the bread service (the best part of Sanaa). I only get 3 accompaniments though, because Josh doesn’t use any of them.

So good…

We devoured most of our bread service, and within moments, our entrees arrived. I had a double order of paneer makhani with rice, and Josh had an order of paneer and an order of chicken.

My paneer.

Josh’s paneer and chicken.

Although we were both stuffed at this point, we got dessert anyway. (Hey, it’s included in the meal. Not going to waste it!) We each ordered the sampler trio, and it was delicious. My favorite was the banana cheesecake.

Even the display of it is beautiful!

After lunch, we took a bus over to Epcot to spend the afternoon. We went over to the character spot because I want a picture with regular sailor suit Donald (the only one I have is from over 10 years ago!), but no luck this time around either. Oh well. Can’t really complain about getting Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie in one picture.

We looked in a few shops and made our way over to Test Track. We don’t get to ride this very often because I would prefer Soarin’, and I usually have no patience for the standby wait. It is a lot of fun, though. Josh told me he didn’t think leaving his hat on would be an issue, but clearly from this ride photo, he was wrong. :p

After a few more rides, it was soon time to head over to MK. We hopped on the monorail and met a very nice couple celebrating their wedding anniversary on the way over. We wandered down Main Street and made our way to the castle. Since there was no proposal package attached to the reservation this time, we didn’t get to bypass the line to meet Cinderella. Hahaha. But we had a nice chat with her, and I thanked her for loaning us her carriage for the wedding.

We went upstairs and were seated in one of the side areas. We didn’t have a view this time, but it was a quieter area, so I was grateful for that. Royal Table seems to get some mixed reviews, but in my opinion, the food was absolutely delicious. I left unbelievably full. For appetizers, Josh and I both selected the cheese plate. Josh didn’t like the selections very much, but I thought they were amazing. I could have made this my entire meal.

This included bleu cheese, gouda, and goat cheese.

For main entrees, I had the gnocchi and Josh opted for the chicken. I enjoyed mine more than I expected, and Josh said his chicken was good. It was a bit odd though: we basically made it through our entire meal before any of the princesses made it over to our table. I questioned whether we should stay and wait, but Josh brought up the good point that we paid a lot for the meal and should get the most out of it.

When it came time for dessert, I chose the trio and Josh picked the 'clock strikes twelve' mousse. I was a little disappointed in mine, and wished I had gotten either the mousse or cheesecake.

My dessert trio: coffee cake, something pistachio, and cheesecake.

Josh’s mousse.

After dinner, we spent the rest of the evening in MK. We rode the tea cups, Big Thunder, Pooh, Dumbo, and Barnstormer. After looking inside a few shops, it was already time to check in for the Wishes DP. I was still full from dinner, but I still made room for a few things. I was especially stoked to see that they offered jungle juice. Hopefully this didn’t get taken away during the revamping of the DP.

View from our table.

After eating, I suggested we go ride Space while waiting for the fireworks to start since the line was so short. By the time we got back, some people had already stolen our table. Argh! We moved to a table further in the back, and waited for the fireworks to start. I was starting to feel really tired again, and Josh even asked if I wanted to just leave. We stayed for the majority of the show, but started heading toward the busses at the very end to try to get a jump start on the crowds.

Somehow, we lucked out and got on the very first bus out to the Boardwalk. When we got back to the room, we went to bed pretty quickly. I was excited about the next day: we had a pre-park opening breakfast at Sci-Fi for the Star Wars character meal!

The food at Sanaa looks yummy! However my "no funky weird food" husband probably wouldn't eat there. (Sigh)
Love the picture with all the characters. That's super cute!

Soarin' is my favorite at Epcot. Love love love that ride!

Yay for getting a quick bus out! I will be honest, my first trip staying on a monorail resort spoiled the crap out of me. I stayed at the Contemporary, being able to just walk from MK without having to deal with the crowds was so nice.
I did that again for our trip in April because of the stroller, but that might be the last time for awhile we stay at a monorail resort. Expensive.

Sanaa looks delicious! I'm so intrigued by butter chicken, I definitely want to try it.

Your gnocchi looks surprisingly good to me! I guess I've heard so much about how CRT isn't worth the money that seeing decent food for adults on the menu kind of took me by surprise. Glad you had a good review of it all.

Boooo to loosing your Wishes table, but sneaking out at the end of the fireworks is always a good thing. Anything beats a 30 minute bus wait!

Aww... maybe you need a girls' trip to Sanaa? Haha. Or bread and drinks? Everyone likes bread, right? LOL.

We definitely got spoiled to staying at the BW. It was convenient being so close to 2 parks!

I thought CRT was delicious!! I enjoyed it more than Josh did, though. Of course, I love anything that involves a cheese plate. :rotfl2:

Just a quick update: our wedding was featured on the Bibbidi Bobbidi Bride blog! The majority of the photos were already shared here, but I figured I would include the link here anyway. The blog post includes some of my commentary that they took from my PJ/TR, as well as some commentary from Michael. :)

Oh. My. Goodness. Your park portraits. All of them. What an incredible couple of shoots you guys had! And the dessert party! Outside of our wedding we have about 5 pictures from our DHS shoot and we were kinda glad we didn't invest further but HOLY COW yours are PHENOMENAL. I better not show Jess, she'll probably kill me for trying to convince her that the MK session isn't the same anymore (since we couldn't get one around our date) - especially since you don't exactly know what you're gonna get from it but wow. Even the sky is just perfect, I love some fluffy clouds. And the shots *behind* the Castle! Argh! I can't imagine the dilemma you must have when it comes to prints, canvasses and the like. I thought I had a hard time putting together a calendar for Jess that Christmas but choosing a handful of your pictures and having to leave out the rest would be a nightmare. I could really rave all day about these, if I show them to Jess she'll cancel her plans to sell her dress and have us on the next plane to Orlando.

Okay, I'll try and get over your amazing photos for a second. I've really enjoyed your TR so far! I'm always on the lookout for Donald touches, I love seeing your various shirts and agree that you should absolutely get that hat. And I admire the ambition behind the 9:30 breakfast! We weren't that brave ourselves, our next day reservation was a late lunch - I can't even remember for sure if we *had* breakfast the day after. I probably just had a cinnamon roll the size of my head. Again. I'm glad you liked it though! The biggest reason we chose to go to Cape May on our last trip was to see Donald in that outfit, we feel kinda compelled to 'collect them all' with him and I'm guessing you're the same way! The MK dessert party looks great too, it's such a nice spot to view the Castle from that you don't really see that often so I like that they're using it like that. Looking forward to the Star Wars character meal! We love the Sci Fi and hope to do that one day if we're in the right place at the right time.

But seriously. Your pictures. Wow. What a lovely couple, you can feel the love. Just incredible.
