Peter Pan doesn't like my shirt! A June '15 TR! Updated 7/6!

I am loving your trip report! Thanks so much for including the link to Disney floral and gifts. It sounds like a perfect surprised for the girls on our next trip.
Awe, thanks! It's my first one, so I was a bit nervous writing it! No problem, they did an amazing job, we were highly impressed. Like I said, it brought my girls to tears, it was well worth the price!

Great update! I love the 7DMT pic...so funny! Glad she enjoyed it after all...my DD won't go on. I think Ariel is more her speed too!
Thanks! We have another pic of her with almost the exact face from the log ride at our local amusement park, though that one she got right back on several times in a row! Yeah, I'm hoping our next trip she will be brave and try 7DMT again.

Beans loves it. When we lived in Ohio a class member handed out coupons from the school he went to for a free class and she fell right into it.

Good for her! :)

She was getting ready to test for her fourth belt when she had to quit. When we moved here we found her a new school and she had to start over at a white belt.

Oh, really? That must've been disheartening for her.

The school in Ohio was part of the American TKD Association, her new school is part of the World TKD Federation. So the registration of her belts wouldn't carry over.

But I imagine it didn't take her too long to advance again?

I think she just didn't know what to do with her fears and was trying to calm herself. If that makes sense.

Actually... it does.

Thanks, I'm doing better today, went to the chiropractor yesterday and he put everything back where it should be. Just achy today.

Good to hear!

I'm enjoying your trip report!

We have a BOG breakfast ADR in August. :thumbsup2

Poor LoLo! I'm not a thrill ride type person either but I will go on 7DMT, Splash and BTMRR (but, speaking of chiropractors - I feel like I need one after being jerked around so much on that ride!). One ride that absolutely terrified me was Astro Orbitor. I rode it a few years ago with my DD and as the ride picked up speed it felt like the centrifugal forces were going to hurl us out of the rocket. I know I was screaming the whole time but I didn't realize how loud until we got off the ride. As DD & I were walking towards the elevator to head back down to the exit I said to the people walking next to us "I was so scared". They just gave me this look and said "we know".

Loved it!

Awww...well, at least you rode it! **Spoiler alert** We'll get to my freak out moment later on!

Alright...we had just left Gaston...

Our next Fastpass wasn't for several hours yet, we were getting hot, tired and hungry, so we decided to go back to the spot where the girls had eaten their snacks, sit for a few, take our bags off of our backs, and figure out what we wanted for lunch. I got on the MDE app and scored us a 2:30 lunch ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. We found ourselves just sitting there talking to some people who were from Ohio for quite awhile. The girls wanted to ride the train over to Frontier Land and walk to LTT. So went and got in line for the train. It was close to 2:10 by this point and we had just missed the train, after talking to the CM at the train boarding area, we decided it would be faster to just walk to LTT from there than to wait for the next train. We walked to our ADR and got there by 2:25...Yay! We waited about 10 minutes for our table. When I had made the ADR, I was thinking that LTT was a buffet. So of course the girls were laughing at me for being wrong and I think were a bit disappointed. We all really enjoyed our lunch (even though it was not a buffet) and were feeling refreshed and ready to go. BTW, I had the pot roast, which was amazing! I highly recommend!

Since the girls didn't get to ride the train earlier, we headed off to Frontier Land to the train station and wait for the next one. Seriously...after walking up the steps, waiting in the heat for the next train, I was ready for another break! So, we rode the train from there to the Main St. station and wondered through the shops. I gave in and purchased 2 of the misting fans (even though the kids had fans already). So, after we explored the shops we headed over to Tomorrowland. We still had awhile before our Fastpass, so we looked around one of the shops there and Beans and LoLo got lanyards and pins to start pin trading. Beans got a Pirate one and LoLo got Lilo and Stitch. They each got a mystery pack of pins. By that time it was time for our FP at Buzz Lightyear, so we went and got in line. We waited in line for 15 minutes just to be told that the ride was down and they were having everyone exit. On our way out they gave us all a paper FP and we headed back out into Tomorrowland. Beans wanted to get on the People Mover...which happened to be down...and everything else we would have
wanted to ride had wait times of an hour or more...so not looking so good for Tomorrowland for us today.

After all of that we decided to start on the Sorcerers of the MK game. So we found a spot to sit down and dig out the map to see where we had to go first. Back to Fantasy Land! It took us awhile to figure out exactly what we were looking for. Once we found our first Key, we ran into a CM that gave a few tips on playing the game and it was smooth sailing from there. He was very helpful, he showed us the symbols on the cards that the game reads, how to hold them for best results, and that we could use multiple card combinations for stronger spells. By the time we had run around Fantasy Land and defeated out first villain it was just about time for our dinner ADR, so we headed back towards Main St.

We wondered back through the shops and Beans got herself a Pirate hat and LoLo got Minnie gloves/hands? Then we headed to Tony's Town Square for our ADR. We waited about 15 minutes for our table and the girls got a kick out of the way they announced that your table was ready. We weren't very hungry, I think we were all too hot and tired. Even still, the food was really good and we decided to get our dessert to go again. By the time we were finished it was time to start staking out a spot for the parade...YAY!! It's one of my favorite things at Magic Kingdom and I was NOT missing it!

LoLo at Tony's Town Square...told you she would get her smile back...and was a goofball extraordinaire!

We headed over to Frontier Land and landed ourselves a prime spot near Country Bear Jamboree right up front. While we waited I started getting out the glow bracelets I had brought for the girls and they decided they would share them with the kids around us. Any little kid who sat by our walked past us got offered one. I love my kiddos!

So, feel privileged...it's a rare photo of me sitting on the ground! LOL

Anyway...the reason I posted this photo. The woman next to me was so sweet. We talked for a good 1/2 hour waiting for the parade to begin. It was so nice to meet new people through out our trip. I loved having conversations with them and finding out where they were from, how much they loved Disney, hearing about their visit, etc. We spent a lot of our time just talking to people.

The parade began and the girls tried wearing their Mickey Vision glasses but said they hurt their eyes after a few minutes so Nick tried taking a few photos with them. They came out alright...this was the best one...
SAM_3001 - Copy.JPG

Taking photos without them was a much better option! LOL

After the parade, we headed over to ride Pirates of the Caribbean! Another one of my favorites! We thought we would use our paper FP that we had got earlier, but didn't need it as we walked right on. Beans was excited! When we had done our FP selections, it said that the ride was going to be closed for refurbishment during our trip and a couple of days before we left we found out it changed and was going down the day after our first MK day. We set sail on our pirate adventure! LoLo was a little nervous but I assured her that she would be fine and that it was dark and loud but no big drops or anything. Well, I forgot about the one completely dark drop...she screamed, and then was mad at me. Oopsy...I honestly had forgot about that part. She got over it quickly though. LOL

On our way out Beans got herself a sword from the gift shop. Now, if you couldn't tell, she was Disney Bounding as Capt. Jack Sparrow that day...so the hat and sword were a must for her. We HAD to get a picture of the complete look and found the perfect spot to do so!

We were all pretty exhausted and ready to head back to the resort. We headed out of the park fairly easily, didn't have to wait long for anything and were back in our room in no time!

Next up...Park day 2 and our favorite breakfast ADR!

I was wondering why some people had paper FPs. That explains it!

Sounds like a great day, in spite of the long queues in Tomorrowland.

I like the photo with the Mickey glasses :)

And thus wound up walking almost three times the distance!

Oh, well. It's not like you walk much at Disney.

:rolleyes1

BTW, I had the pot roast, which was amazing! I highly recommend!

Oh, good! I saw that on the lunch menu and wondered if any of you had tried it.

Since the girls didn't get to ride the train earlier, we headed off to Frontier Land to the train station and wait for the next one. Seriously...after walking up the steps, waiting in the heat for the next train, I was ready for another break!

Or... walk to Main St. Same distance.
I know. I know. You have to ride the train.
Something that I don't even remember if I've ever done it!

I gave in and purchased 2 of the misting fans (even though the kids had fans already).

Because a mom knows that if you have two kids with two misting fans, the rules state that soon you will have two kids and only one misting fan.

Beans and LoLo got lanyards and pins to start pin trading.

And so it begins...

We waited in line for 15 minutes just to be told that the ride was down and they were having everyone exit.

Rats.
There goes the Buzz competition pictures!

On our way out they gave us all a paper FP

I noticed later you mentioned them in conjunction with POC.
So these passes were good for any ride in the park?

Beans wanted to get on the People Mover...which happened to be down...

Really? I don't think I've ever heard of it being down!

After all of that we decided to start on the Sorcerers of the MK game. So we found a spot to sit down and dig out the map to see where we had to go first. Back to Fantasy Land!

:lmao:

It's almost like they're doing it on purpose!

By the time we had run around Fantasy Land and defeated out first villain it was just about time for our dinner ADR, so we headed back towards Main St.

And how was the game? Did you and/or the girls like it?
More of a kid's game? Or fun for all ages?

Then we headed to Tony's Town Square for our ADR. We waited about 15 minutes for our table and the girls got a kick out of the way they announced that your table was ready.

What did they do?
They didn't do anything for me except say my table was ready.

Even still, the food was really good

What did you guys have?

11401125_10204506588210618_7068186463083318794_n-jpg.106203

Yup. I see what you mean.

While we waited I started getting out the glow bracelets I had brought for the girls and they decided they would share them with the kids around us. Any little kid who sat by our walked past us got offered one. I love my kiddos!

That's really nice of them. :goodvibes

So, feel privileged...it's a rare photo of me sitting on the ground! LOL

And you do it with such elan!

I seldom have conversations with strangers. I'm usually moving and not sitting still.
But when I do... Disney meets are great. Everyone is (usually) in such a good mood!

The parade began and the girls tried wearing their Mickey Vision glasses but said they hurt their eyes after a few minutes

I can see why!

so Nick tried taking a few photos with them. They came out alright...this was the best one...

Interesting effect, but might not be the best way to make memories!

LoLo was a little nervous but I assured her that she would be fine and that it was dark and loud but no big drops or anything. Well, I forgot about the one completely dark drop...she screamed, and then was mad at me. Oopsy...

Whoops!
At least it wasn't RNRC or something.
"Oh, no. It's just like IASW."

Now, if you couldn't tell, she was Disney Bounding as Capt. Jack Sparrow that day...so the hat and sword were a must for her.

No. I'm dense when it comes to Disney Bounding.
Completely hopeless.

We HAD to get a picture of the complete look and found the perfect spot to do so!

And a very nice pic it is! I can see how the hat and sword are required to complete the ensemble.

Next up...Park day 2 and our favorite breakfast ADR!

Can't wait! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great day, in spite of the long queues in Tomorrowland.
It was a great day, even with all of our troubles! LOL

I like the photo with the Mickey glasses :)
It probably would've been better if we were using a different lens...

And thus wound up walking almost three times the distance!

Oh, well. It's not like you walk much at Disney.

:rolleyes1

No, not much walking at Disney of all places! LOL

Or... walk to Main St. Same distance.
I know. I know. You have to ride the train.
Something that I don't even remember if I've ever done it!
It was a nice ride....if just to get off of your feet for a bit!

Because a mom knows that if you have two kids with two misting fans, the rules state that soon you will have two kids and only one misting fan.
True statement!

And so it begins...
Ahhh, yes. Pin trading...a definite Disney addiction...and they were hooked...

Rats.
There goes the Buzz competition pictures!
Right?

I noticed later you mentioned them in conjunction with POC.
So these passes were good for any ride in the park?
They had the select rides they were good for printed on them. Beans wanted to save them for POC, but as stated, we didn't even need to use them.

Really? I don't think I've ever heard of it being down!
LOL

And how was the game? Did you and/or the girls like it?
More of a kid's game? Or fun for all ages?
We all enjoyed it. I think it would be more fun as a single player, or to play in teams instead of a family of 4.

What did they do?
They didn't do anything for me except say my table was ready.
They hollered out "Attenzione, attenzione, looking for _____ family". The kiddos are still saying attenzione when trying to get our attention.

What did you guys have?
I had the cannelloni which was good but way too filling, Nick had the ravioli, he said it was ok, Beans had the NY strip, she said it was pretty good, and LoLo had the kids spaghetti, which she said was good but Mom's was better! LOL Ask her what her favorite food is and her response will be "Mommy's pasta and sauce"
Yup. I see what you mean.

My goofy goober!

That's really nice of them. :goodvibes
They're good kids...when they want to be! Hahaha

I seldom have conversations with strangers. I'm usually moving and not sitting still.
But when I do... Disney meets are great. Everyone is (usually) in such a good mood!
We didn't really come across anyone who wasn't in a pleasant mood.

I can see why!
They worked much better on objects that weren't in motion.

Interesting effect, but might not be the best way to make memories!
Would've been better with a different lens.

Whoops!
At least it wasn't RNRC or something.
"Oh, no. It's just like IASW."
She got over it pretty quick. LOL

No. I'm dense when it comes to Disney Bounding.
Completely hopeless.
We tried to be subtle, yet comfortable. But, should explain the red head band and scarf around the waist at least!
And a very nice pic it is! I can see how the hat and sword are required to complete the ensemble.
She's a big Pirate fan, she's also the one who chose the pirate themed room! I'm a fan as well, so I'm not complaining!

Oh, okay.

We all enjoyed it. I think it would be more fun as a single player, or to play in teams instead of a family of 4.

Maybe I'll have to give it a try.... Dunno.

They hollered out "Attenzione, attenzione, looking for _____ family". The kiddos are still saying attenzione when trying to get our attention.

 They definitely didn't do that!

Oh? Care to share the recipe?

Wow...I'm really impressed with your stamina...and your kids too!! You accomplished a whole lot in your day and the kids seemed to be in great spirits even at the end of the day!! Way to go on scoring a last minute ADR at LTT...I'm not sure I would have thought of doing that...now I might lol

Now, if you couldn't tell, she was Disney Bounding as Capt. Jack Sparrow that day...so the hat and sword were a must for her.

I just discovered Disney Bounding recently!!! My sister turned me on to it, and we are ALL Bounding on our next big family trip in 2016. I'm thinking about Han Solo for HS and Gaston at MK. My wife likes both ideas.:love1:

Well, yes. But this was park day one! LOL

I figured it was a long shot and didn't hurt to at least look, worked in our favor!

It was really fun! Especially in the planning stages. Looking for ideas and and outfits gave us something else to keep the excitement of the trip going. We all bounded most of the vacation. We were pretty subtle with it though, it was hard to find outfits without layering too much while trying to stay cool in the heat.

We are enjoying that stage of the planning process as well. Our trip is fall of next year, so need whatever I can to keep me from going crazy! HAHAHA!

My sister had a cool idea...since I am going as Gaston to MK, and we are planning on BOG for lunch, why not all of us DISNEYBOUND as a character from Beauty and the Beast?! YES! Hope it works out....will def post it if it happens.

Love your TR, thanks for posting!!!

Oh my gosh what an awesome, busy day!! Hearing about your experiences with the heat makes me so nervous for September :faint:

Sorcerers of the MK sounds neat - we might have to try it next trip!

Looking forward to more :goodvibes

Yeah, you see that face she's giving...that "Daddy, do you see what Mom's doing...really?!?!" LOL

So, we made our ADR, had an awesome breakfast, got some really cool pics, and then it was time for us to see that Castle!!!!

We headed out through Fantasy Land toward the front of the park to get a map, times guide, Sorcerer's of the MK cards, and that classic family Main Street photo with the castle in the background. As we're walking (note my shirt in the above photo), Peter Pan comes out of nowhere, he's skipping along, sees LoLo's birthday button, says "Happy Birthday Princess", looks over at me, stops, points and says "I don't like your shirt" and then proceeds to skip away into the crowd...LOL...All we could do was stand there and laugh....Peter Pan...Oye! Oh, and if you don't know what my shirt is...It's Hook from Once Upon A Time and says "I'm Hooked!"

So, after our first character "interaction" we proceeded to Main St. USA! We got our picture on the way to the front of the park, and stopped for a few to let the kiddos take it all in...

LoLo was a bit overwhelmed at this point from us running late and hadn't yet had time to process...hence the non-smiley face....Which changes a bit later....

Well, I'm off to get ready for work. Coming up later on: LoLo's first "thrill" ride...7DMT!!!!
Love your shirt! Just googled so I could get one for my trip next year!!!

Great report so far!! Good moving driving. We always rent a car, even when staying on site. I can't stand not being in control of when I'll arrive at or leave a park!

Also, too funny about the drop in Pirates. My son (just turned 11) goes on Space Mountain about 1000x but has to be forced onto Pirates once because of that little drop!

We're planning another trip for fall of next year too. Hoping DisneyBounding will be a bit easier since it won't be as hot in the fall!
