Harambe Market opens at Disney's Animal Kingdom

I think that this area, along with the recently expanded Harambe Theater district, puts the Africa section of DAK on par with what is offered at Tokyo Disney Sea. The theming in this area is the best in Orlando (including UNI). Now I hear that they are adding a new grab and go in Anandapur, so this just keeps getting better.

I love the pics, can hardly wait to see it next year...

oh it is sooo farrrr away.... sigh!

We ate at the Marketplace this weekend. The food and atmosphere was awesome. We had the curry corn dog and Karubi ribs along with the Mulderbosc sauvignon blanc. We also had the safari amber (but I think I've had that at Yak & Yeti). I thought the food was great. The wine was refreshing. The corn dog didn't come with any ketchup nor did it need it. The batter had a great flavor. The ribs were also very tasty and moist. My favorite was the corn dog. I'm really impressed with the way new counter service offerings have been going. Honestly, a couple of the counter service restaurants (here and Capt Cooks in particular) were better than some of our table service meals this last week.

And way to go Kathy for getting the retweet from Joe Rhode. I saw that when he tweeted it. Very cool!

This is exciting news! I hope to see a DIS Unplugged podcast about the new Harambe Marketplace! Perhaps Dustin could be part of the roundtable for this one since he is a former AK CM.. As always, looking forward to the next podcast!

I'm bummed there are no vegetarian options except for the broccoli and tomato side :(.
My thoughts exactly! Does anyone in park management stop to consider the absurdity of eating some animals while gawking at others? I'm surprised to see yet another new menu completely freezing out vegetarians and vegans in what's supposed to be a conservation-focused park.

Aside from the no-veg options, think they really hit this out of the park.
