Do taxis have car seats? if not do you recommend a shared shuttle? Do you make reservations in advance? I think our flight will get in right at 8:10pm missing the last Disney shuttle. This will likely be from LAX.

Taxi's do not carry car seats. I do recommend a shared shuttle. I always make reservations in advance.

We booked Super Shuttle in advance in November and had no problems with them.

We have used Super Shuttle for the last few trips and have no complaints. I am wondering if someone can confirm that they do indeed make you responsible for placing all kids under 8 years old in carseats that you have brought with you. And will they not shuttle you if you are unprepared? I wonder if any Uber drivers carry carseats, might be a good niche market for DL and WDW areas...

Depends on th enumber in your party. I'd do super shulttle if it's a small group or a taxi/ hired car for a bigger group.

You are responsible for all child safety seats in taxis, shuttles vans, cars, etc. There is no way to request a car seat in an Uber or Lyft and it's very unlikely that a driver will carry an appropriate selection of safety seats on the off chance that someone will need one. There may be some shuttles or liveries where you can request a car seat, but the general response I've seen to that is that many people don't trust an unknown seat, which is probably why many don't bother offering it at all.

We've done supershuttle twice and had good experiences.

Most airlines allow you to check car seats free of charge and they do not count towards checked baggage. I would bring my car seat rather than not have one (they will not transport you) or perhaps use one from a company not knowing if the car seat is safe i.e. Recalled in a previous accident etc.

How old are the kids? For kids above a certain size, it would be legal to use a backless booster. Those are a lot easier to transport and won't be as vulnerable to damage as full car seats with lots of absorbing foam.
