What are the odds of getting a BLT 1 bed MK view at 7 months out for October? Any particular week that might be better?

I tried to find the BLT thread with pics but couldn't. If anyone has a link that'd be awesome.

Thanks!

You would have a better chance if there is a week between Columbus day week and the last week of the month or the first week of the month. It will be harder the weeks surrounding the holiday and nearer to Haloween. You still probably only have a slight hance of MK view and have a better chance of lakeview at the 7 month window.

We are going to disney this coming oct-was interested in booking BLT since our home resort BWV was already fully booked when we closed on our resale contract. For the week of Oct 17-24 I know there was better avail for 1 bedroom than studios-I think lake view had several days avail (if not the whole week but I think MK view was pretty full).

Thanks.

May have to suck it up and pay cash. We will have a 1 year old so watching the fireworks from the balcony would be super helpful.

Probably looking at the first week in October, before the holiday.

Theme Park view is likely to be difficult at 7 months out any time during the month. The biggest problem you will face first week of Oct is that the Columbus Day weekend really begins on Thurs, Oct 6, and that Thurs through Sun has a high chance of being gone at 7 months out even for a 1BR. Also, if you are actually thinking of going the cash route through a member/owner of BLT, you should try for getting a reservation 11 months out because that Columbus Day weekend time can disappear fairly quickly.

We recently tried to book for Oct and were surprised all but SS were unavailable for our week! No more "spur of the moment" (if 6 mo out counts!) for us!

Going cash is probably just do a traditional room only. Maybe hope for a discount, but I'd rather have the ability to cancel freely.

Just bumping, instead of starting fresh.

Would the odds of getting a TPV studio be greater?

And I noticed gfv doesn't have TPV distinction. Do they not have villas with MK view?

"Magic Kingdom" and "Theme Park" views are the same thing. GFV doesn't have any theme park view rooms; the DVC building is on the opposite side of the resort. Standand and theme park views book up first, and studios book up first. At seven months, plan on a one-bedroom lake view room. Anything other than that will be pure luck.

Ok thanks.

I'll probably just book CR with cash then and maybe wait list BLT just to make sure we've got it all covered.

I would waitlist the TPV if you cannot get it and also book the resort with "cash." You can cancel the cash booking (if just doing it direct through DW website) and take the waitlist if it comes through...

did you try lakeview. Some of them actually have a theme park view. There is a whole thread about what to request to maximize your chances. Even if you don't get tpv, you can go to the lounge at the top and watch them there and then just pop back to the room

I was looking at that, but I just wouldn't want to use the points and not get the view I want.

We will have a 1 year old who will hopefully sleep, and I can watch the fireworks from the balcony. Heading up to the lounge wouldn't be quite as easy.

I'll definitely keep it in mind though!

Our last trip was like this. We only saw MK fireworks shows the entire trip. And even then, only 2 nights did we see it from inside the park . Viewing from either the balcony or from the bed. Good luck!

The above dates are exactly when we are going . We called right at the 11 month mark and were able to snag a 1 Bedroom lake view...studios were taken. We are currently waitlisted for BWV or BCV , but I do not hold much hope that those waitlists will come through! We love BLT though, so we are ok with that,
