2016 itinerary changes

I think I read that the 2016 dates won't be out until June but I have a general question. When the new dates are released is that when ABD would make tweak their current trips? There a few trips we are looking at that would be great except.....

As an example, the France trip looks great except the one hotel doesn't have AC. They also removed the Loire Valley which is a shame.

Yes, in general, if they are going to make itinerary changes to existing trips, that would be when it would happen. (June 9th for this year).

As Sayhello already stated that is when they usually make changes but in 2011 when I went to Ireland there was a change in the Itinerary and it wasnt' on the website nor in the pre arrival book. It was a great change as they took out Bunratty folk park and added in Blarney Castle, I grew up listening to stories of Kissing the Blarney Stone and I loved it and everyone one the trip felt it was a great change but we didn't know about it until the trip started. If they make a change like that it is usually for the best.

I'm hoping they add Disney Shanghai to the China itinerary for 2016. The park is slated to open in the first half of the year. Fingers crossed! Otherwise we will have to fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai at the end of the trip and visit on our own!

So sad... the Loire Valley chateaus were beautiful. I wonder what made them change the itinerary. I don't remember one of the hotels not having AC. We went in the summer (the first year) and it wasn't an issue. Good trip though.

I doubt it. It's probably too late for them to get port times for the rest of the summer. But I'm sure there will be more in 2017. They've sold very well.

But what do I know?

I'm just guessing.

We wanted to wait until they came out with the new itineraries to book but I'm worried there won't be much left by then.

I know. If the Loire Valley was still included it would be a dream trip for us. We went to Paris last year so having a few days there isn't of too much interest. I guess I can still keep my fingers crossed for June 9th.

The one hotel they include now definitely doesn't have AC according to recent TripAdvisor reviews. Unfortunately this would be a deal breaker for DH. I know that is not uncommon in Europe but I would expect ABD to make a better hotel choice for the money.

I can understand that. Which hotel was it out of curiosity?

I'd talk to ABD or your Travel Agent about it. ABD seems to be a bit more liberal these days about switching deposits from one trip to another. I think you're right to be worried about there not being much left on the river cruises. They seem to be selling quite well.

It is the Royal Barrière in Deauville. It looks to be a nice hotel otherwise.

Our Deauville resort is still being renovated.

So maybe it will have A/C by the time the ABD gets there.

Good catch! Thanks! I really hope so since that would make all of the difference. I am going to have an uphill battle convincing DH on ABD as it is.

That's the one I was guessing. It is a beautiful hotel in Deauville. Hopefully they'll add A/C. Maybe you could email the hotel and ask about the renovation.

Two of the hotels on the Germany trip did not have AC, but Disney purchased fans for their guests and they were in the rooms. Maybe they do that for the France hotel, too?
