Housekeeping not coming...

Hey everyone, I'm currently at AS Sports. Yesterday I was out from 8-11pm, no housekeeping. Same the day before. I just got back from a lunch, it's 12, and my room hasn't been done and the carts are no where to be seen. I really need more towels. If I call the front desk, will they bring some to me?

Call the front desk, or better yet, go down to the front desk and ask about this in person. Very odd that you haven't been getting housekeeping.

This happened to us on our first day at POFQ last year. We were away from our room from early in the morning until late at night, and housekeeping skipped over us/didn't know the room was occupied. We called the front desk to let them know about the situation. They offered to send someone with towels and anything else we needed, but we told them we just wanted to be sure the room was cleaned the remainder of our trip. There were no issues after that. Just be sure to report the problem.

Walk down to the front desk. Don't call.

I'll head down now and let them know. Thank you!

Same thing happened to me when I was there this last summer. Funny, because the adjoining room we had was cleaned (and the door between rooms was open all day). Had other troubles with Mousekeeping there too, made me never want to stay there again.

We had a similar issue at AS Sports back in May 2013. The Mousekeeping was not regular. I ended up speaking to a manager at the front desk, who reimbursed us one night. It is always good to talk to someone.

Going in person is the only way to handle this as you have been told previously. Be nice, be specific, be brief. Smile and then wait. . . . when they offer to send someone to clean the room ask nicely, "is that all you can do for three days without proper service?"

Worst case scenario they will send someone proto to clean your room. Best case scenario they give you a discount. In your case you paid them for daily maid service and did not receive said services, in addition you had to take time out of your vacation to hunt them down to to their job.

Same thing with us this past weekend, AKL club level. No housekeeping and uncleared room service trays lining the hallways.

Been going to WDW for 25 years and have only had mousekeeping issues within the last 3 or 4 years. Could be my memory is going bad. No matter, last time we were at AKL, our room was not clean when we got in. It looked clean, but we found a dirty sock on the floor and the plastic cap to a razor on the bathroom counter. That tells me they did not vacuum or clean the counter. Room service trays and a used rubber glove sat outside in the hallway for the entire weekend.

Hunt them down? Really? How bout just call? U can even call from the bus-stop. I dont pay for maid service at disney, i pay for a place to stay on disney property because of location. I dont live any diff. On vacation than at home, i pick up after myself, re-use towels ect. Dont get me wrong a freshen up is nice, but not everyday.

We did a split stay between aoa little mermaid room and alk kidani a few months back. I was put off of aoa because of the lack of house keeping. I pick up after myself and keep my room neat but a vacuum run would have been nice since the room wasn't all the spotless when we arrived. We arrived around 6pm the first night and when I drew back the curtains in the morning the white shears had what looked like pink yogurt dried all down them.(I hope it was that) I went down to the front desk to explain and they came that night a number of hours later to replace them with ones that had holes. House keeping would show up different every day and skipped a day. I was actually thankful to go to kidani and not have house keeping for the next week because it was more relaxing.

By any chance did you forget the do not disturb sign on the door ? We had housekeeping issues at the values too.

Either go to the front desk or press the Housekeeping button on the phone.

If they are calling the "front desk", they are being sent to an offsite, likely out of state, call center. It's FAR better to physically go to the front desk.

But the Housekeeping button seems to actually go to Housekeeping.

U can even call from the bus-stop.

How would you do that? What phone number?

Sorry but housekeeping is part of the price we are paying for our room not just at WDW but any other hotel we visit. I say this as someone who's room has always been taken care of at Disney. Just walk down to the front desk and nicely say what has happened. Personally I wouldn't ask for any reimbursement.

I hope everyone that has Housekeeping issues (not vacuuming?) writes or emails wdw guest communication... I'm sure they are on a time crunch, and that there are cutbacks - but if guests don't complain, why should Disney change?
