Witnessed a Engagement in Disneyland

While DD and I were at Disneyland on Saturday, we got to witness an awesome event. A event that will forever change 2 lives and touch mine forever.

We had just passed through the Sleeping Beauty Castle on our way to Main Street when I observed a young man on his knee in front of a young lady.

He was just about to propose to her, and we got to witness the whole event. He was on his knee, and brought out a ring and asked his girlfriend to marry him.

She said yes. :)

I did not take any pictures (partly because my cameras were packed away or cell phone battery had just died, and this was THEIR moment, and not mine, and there was like 6 people taking pictures already, although no PP photogs) but, the image of him kneeling down before his Bride-to-be, with the Sleeping Beauty Castle as a backdrop, and the magical feeling that is Disneyland, will be forever be etched in my mind.

The hug and the kisses and the sheer joy I witnessed on that bride-to-be face. The warmth and happiness were all just too incredible.

Romantic, magical & wonderful. Made me remember why I love being a Professional DJ/Entertainer and performing at weddings so much.

And how often does one get a chance to witness a couple becoming engaged and especially at Disneyland?

I am getting teary eyed just thinking of it right now. It was WONDERFUL, simply just wonderful :D

Well there goes two more people making a really big mistake! LMAO :faint: :p

I witnessed a proposal on the Mark Twain last year. It's always so special to be part of someone's magical moment, even if you don't know them.

I'm glad you enjoyed witnessing such a memorable moment but sadly I've seen it so many times that I'm not even phased by it anymore.

How sweet! We got to see a proposal in Hollywood Studios once. Everyone was clapping and cheering after she said yes.

Wouldn't it just be so magical if she said no. Lol That would just crack me up.

My son and I actually talked about that lol I told him I thought the guy had to be pretty sure she'd say yes, but now after watching videos online of people proposing in very public places (like the JumboTron) and being humiliated when they're turned down I'm not so sure I was right.

There are true stories of men going nutty like when they propose and are told no. Pretty scary sometimes actually.

I always told my DH if he proposed in public I'd say "no". (It's totally cool if other people enjoy the attention, but to me it was a private moment.)

We've seen quite a few Disney proposals now. I always clap and I'm happy for them. There was one this past Sunday at Dapper Day that was cute.

I am relieved that I have been fortunate enough so as to escape viewing such displays. Much rather eat a churro. Lol

Ah a romantic.
I wonder if this was the gentleman who posted a month ago for DLR proposal ideas.

I've seen a few proposals, and the happiness I see always warms my heart. Thank you for sharing such a sweet moment.:flower:

It's so lovely isn't it. I'll never forget seeing a proposal whilst eating dinner at Blue Bayou. My teen daughter was beside herself at how romantic it was.

I proposed last year at California Adventure (my now fiancee's favorite of the two parks) Words cannot express how much I wanted to do it in a quiet area away from a swarm of people, I didn't really have a game plan until we got on the Red Car Trolley and we were all alone (well with the two cast members) and then boom on one knee.
