Any Other Crocheters out there?

Don't see much in the way of crochet threads currently on here. I am relatively new to crochet but already love it and of course, my Disney side is already coming through. I'm working on a Baymax right now, and I'm almost done. What are you other "happy hookers" working on?

I'm both a knitter and crocheter. I work mainly on small items for our church bazaar (dishcloths, pot holders, towel toppers, etc), but I'd love to see (and be inspired by) what others are working on.

Baymax is done! I replaced his little line emblem with a heart for valentines day. I really hope my son loves him!

It's a free Ravelry pattern by Nerdy Knots, but I'm not sure if I can post the link or not.

Crochet is my sanity right now :) I love it!! I just started two disney plankets. One is a pink and black granny with Minnies sewn on. And the other one is a Mickey that I will be doing from a pixelated image. Each square will be about 1 1/2 in. I'm a bit daunted with that one :) I also made one for my daughter that has each square a different character. If I could post pictures I would...but not there yet :)

Yay! Disney and crochet...my two favorite things!!

Awesome job! Very cute.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm going to be starting on a bear for my youngest son, hopefully tonight. Not Disney themed, but it will still be fun! He doesn't have an offical Teddy yet, like big brother does, so I think he will like to have his own.

I'm waiting on a big shipment of yarn to come in - my hubby said to "go wild" and order yarn for my valentine's present this year. He let me pick since he doesn't know the first thing about yarn or what kind/colors I would want or need. I found some deals on eBay and I'm hoping it turns out to be nice yarn. I figure, the yarn I use now is from overseas, and probably from the exact same mills! It's always a mixed bag though, when you order from eBay. I got like 27 skeins for $50 w/ free shipping. Surely even if it isn't exactly what I hoped, I can still use it for something!

I'm going out today to get a binder to start putting printed pattens in. I hate dragging out my computer every time I work from a pattern - so I'm printing them (probably should have done that from the start!). With page protectors and a dry erase marker, I should be able to do pattens and "mark off" as I go - then erase and use again. :)

Love the dry erase idea. I have three binders. They started off in sections according to pattern/subject but I tend to get a bit sloppy/neglectful :)

I haven't really tried doing animals yet. I have several on my list (in my binder) to try. I have such a long list of things I need to finish that it may be years before I get a chance to start one :)

One of my WIP right now - a classic teddy for my youngest.

And another WIP, a bunny that will be for my shop. I'm sorta following a pattern, sorta not. :P Love the texture of this yarn but it is a pain to work with.

Wow! Cute creations!

I knit, crochet and tat. Mom thought we all should learn, and with me, it stuck.

Right now, I'm working on a broomstick lace scarf. Next up after that is a knitted lace shawl, or maybe some crocheted boot cuffs. I can't decide!

Love the bunny! That yarn is perfect. The bear will be really cute too!

Sorry the picks are so big everyone! I usually post from mobile, so I can't tell till I get on the PC. I made a lot of progress on the bear last night, but I will wait to post another picture until tonight or tomorrow. Don't want to spam everyone! :rotfl: I'm just so excited with the progress. I always looked at the amigurumi as being so hard, but honestly after the first few attempts (and mistakes) it is really easy. My tight tension also works in my favor for ami's.

I would love to see pictures! I think lace work is soooooo pretty!

My bear is done! I'm really happy with it. It is pretty large too, perfect for a first teddy bear. I'm starting on a bunny to sell, and a cupid for a amigurumi swap right now. And need to start on a present for my mom too, and maybe a little valentine theme ami for my son's teacher. We shall see!

Working on a new Disney related character. This one is my own pattern. :)

I'm a new knitter. I took it up when we were spending lots of time with my father-in-law in the hospital. I'm working on a sleeve for my tablet!

I crochet but I haven't ever done anything Disney related. I may give the Baymax pattern a try since both my boys love him! Thank you for sharing! This is the star blanket I just finished for my niece.

My mom taught me to crochet as a kid, and then I got into cross stitching. I haven't crocheted in year, but I taught myself to knit a few years ago. I want to relearn to crochet. My bil's soon to be wife again, is pregnant with their 2nd child and I want to knit and crochet whatever she has tons of stuff. I really hope she has a girl.

Bringing this back to life. ;) Crochet is still my sanity and I have a shop open now, so I'm super busy!

Here is a BIG Baymax I just made for a customer. It's over a foot tall.

And an Ariel I am working on (she needs fins, arms, and hair still).

image.jpg

And not Disney...but I know we have Potter fans - a mini Harry. He is only 4.5 inches tall!

image.jpg

I have a few Star Wars minis too.

Oh and here is Cap all finished.

Every bodies work looks so good! I am working on some scarves for my upcoming January trip. I want to do one for each park. When I get them finished---and how I want them---I'll post some pictures :)
