Hmmm like Monday after Easter 4/17 or the week after? If it's the week after that would be 4/24. Last year was 4/25 so sounds about right.

I would love the Monday after Easter! Kids have the day off and I relax after no sleep.

I think your DDP costs are out of date. The price difference right now is $21.16 for adults and $4.07 for kids.

You're right, we booked before price increase and I based off of that.

This is not necessarily true. I just booked the new 'Summer Expedition Awaits' room discount offer for friends an hour ago and when I added park tickets the Canadian Discounted tickets were automatically offered.

Not sure what will happen if/when FD comes out but there is a possibility that Canadians may be able to stack the ticket offer too.

That's the first time I've seen the Canadian discounted tickets available with a package! I have a package booked for November with the Canadian discounted tickets but I had to buy the tickets separately and link them. I would love FD at POR in November but since it wasn't offered last year I bought my tickets ahead of time and booked a standard POR room for November. If FD is offered in November I was planning on saving the tickets for another time and booking FD. Now maybe there is a possibility I could use those tickets with FD. It seems to only show up as offering Canadian discounted tickets for a package for this new offer. If I check package prices in November you can still only add the tickets at the non discounted price unless you link them seperately. Do you know if this was the case for the summer dates before this new promo?

When I attempted to book the old room discount offer last week the CDN ticket prices did not appear. When I looked today I was happy to see that the CDN ticket prices were offered!

I think the last week of August will be included in FD. We go the last week of August every year. Crowds are very low this time of year. I can't imagine them not offering it. Plus the bb started Aug. 11. That's as early as I've ever seen it.

So if I arrive 8/24 and free dining starts 8/28 during final week of Aug I only FD for my days on 8/28 not 8/24

Yes, normally when this happens to people they make 2 different bookings. They book a Room Only for Aug 24 - 28, then a FD offer with your tickets from Aug 28 to the end of your trip. You would book the total number of park days desired with your FD booking.

Hi, check to make sure that you are in English (Canada), not English (USA) in the top right hand corner. I don't know if that would make a difference.

I don't think they will either but I can dream. That's why I booked a RO package and linked my discounted tickets so maybe they will let me use an RO Fall discount if no FD.

My TA notified me early this morning about the new discount. We are booked now at Pop from 8/19-8/28 with the Summer Savory 1 CS meal/day promotion at $2868, to change to the new promotion and add the full QS meal plan would cost us $3947 for the three of us. Knowing how my boys eat, I do not think it will cost us $1100 to pay for one more CS meal and some snacks out of pocket so we left the package as is. Still hoping for FD to be released for our dates. The one good thing was that my TA e-mailed me super early this morning so hoping if FD is released she will be up early and taking care of us.

Question- I see a few folks saying they keep checking to make sure they don't miss out on the free dining offer. Did the rooms really go that fast last year? I would have thought that as long as you made your reservations in the first week or so of the offer you would be ok?

Just to give you an idea, last year I was online at 7am, wasn't aware of the 4am release, and tried to get POP for the week of Sept 25th and it was completely booked. I tried for CBR it was booked, I ended up booking ASMu. I kept checking for POP for a couple of weeks but it was not available but got lucky one morning that Standard view became available at CBR so I booked it. I kept checking for POP since that is our home resort and just could not get it. I have never had an issue getting POP for FD in the past. So yes it is important to constantly keep checking.

They base free dining on the rooms they need to sell. If everyone starts booking the water view or upgraded rooms with the idea that all they will need to do is modify to get the free dining, then those rooms will not appear on Disney's side as needing to be sold. That may mean they won't offer FD at all at those resorts. If you're going even without FD, book the room you really WANT and leave it until you see what is offered.

Just curious because I've seen many people use that term but don't know what it means. - "home resort" I thought it referred to DVC but POP isn't in that right?
