We had major storms come through yesterday. We had hail. Hail+new vehicle= Damaged the hood a little. Lightning either struck our house or near our house frying a bunch of stuff. Garage doors, stove, TV's, phone cable, internet, wifi modem. The cable company can't come until tonight to fix it. Hopefully we can get internet, cable and phone back tonight. Steph started school and I'm sure she will need the computer and internet for homework. One of our garage doors was only a few months old. Don tried to fix it but looks like we'll have to replace it again. The TV in the basement which we just got for Christmas wouldn't come on. The one in the living room turned on but got nothing. Strange thing is the one in the bedroom worked and had cable.

Wow Diane! Glad you are okay! Could have been worse! Glad your house is okay but, what a hassle!! Hope you get internet back! I'd be more worried and bored if I didn't have the internet. I'm still level two but, I feel very safe now and will start lessons up again tomorrow. We have a good chance RAIN this weekend! Hope you are okay Diane, that must have been scary!

... and I thought out little storm was bad! Were you at home or work? That's a LOT of damage but grateful your house didn't burn down! So glad your car wasn't totally messed up though. DD was lucky yesterday...was driving her older truck when the little storm went through Brenham with hail. Was it just your house or was the whole neighborhood out of phone/internet? Wow...you have a mess to deal with today!

I was at work but the kids were home. I'm not sure if anyone else has damage yet. We are very lucky the house didn't burn down. I just hope all the wiring is ok.

... but then..the stupid hot CAN be a pain in the you know where too. I was SO glad to feel temps in the upper 70's last night!

I'll bet that put the "fear of God" in them! I remember how I felt when it struck in the back yard ! Damn...didn't even think of the wiring ...you may have a MAJOR problem before it's all over!
