Good adult drinks to try in disney!!!

One of my favorite parts of disney world is being car-less so I can enjoy an adult beverage or two. We have a ds so I won't be going crazy but will defintely like to try a drink at dinner (maybe lunch sometimes) and one while walking around park. Any suggestions we will be in all 4 parks, epcot 3 times, both waterparks, disney quest, and dtd.
Our resturants we are trying are
Maya grill, Rose and Crown, Be our Guest, Tusker house, T-rex, Coral Reef, Kona Cafe, 50's Prime time, Sci if, and Via Napoli.

Husband loves trying new beers and I love most mixed drinks and wine!

Some of my favourites:

Grand Marnier Slushy in France - EPCOT
Sake Bar in Japan - EPCOT
Le fin Du Mounde in Canada - EPCOT

50's Prime Time is just fun to hang out in at the Prime Time Lounge. Nothing "special" drinks there, though the themeing is one of the best on property to me. They have all the typical bar drinks and some good beers as well. Jai Alai (Cigar City Brewing) IPA is one of my favourites and it's one of the only places in the parks you can find it.

Of course, the Magical Star can be found anywhere in the parks and is a very good drink as well.

You can always do the wine tasting at Les Vins de France in EPCOT as well. And I believe Tutto Gusto also offers a wine tasting as well in Italy at EPCOT.

I suggest hitting up Raglan Road in DTD. This spot is always happening and they have a few signature drinks and a healthy supply of beer for anyone's taste. Some great food to go along with those libations as well. One of, if not my favourite spot on property right now.

I would make the time to go over to the Poly, Trader Sam's. Talk about some interesting drinks. So fun and yummy!
At EC in Chine I like the Plum wine slushy on a hot day.

Grapefruit beer in Germany and the Dole Pineapple whip with rum at Tamu Tamu (near Tusker House).

Shofennhofer (sp?) Grapefruit is now available in bottles at all WDW TS restaurants, I believe.

The bartender at ESPN Zone gave it to us with a shot of Absolut Mandarin. Wow.

That sounds great

I might have to test this one out... purely for research

I second that! That grapefruit beer us awesome! I am also a fan of the gran mariner slush in France @ Epcot.

I find it strange that so many people talk about the Schoffenhoffer (sp?) Grapefruit beer and I was drinking it in a club in Berlin at 3Euro ($3.35) as it was cheaper than spirits and I didn't want beer!

I second the Jai Alai if you like drinking IPA's. In Epcot, I like the Grey Goose Lemon Slushies myself. And you must get a Margarita at La Cava del Tequila inside the Mexican Pavilion.

And if you have time - go to Trader Sam's Grotto at the Poly.

I really am missing anything from Cigar City, whenever we get down there we come back with what seems like a few cases to get us by!

I also agree if you can manage it, try to go to Trader Sam's, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, only a few extra dollars and you can keep a very cool glass!

Another suggestion would be La Cava del Tequila at Epcot. They have some interesting and good margaritas.

DH and I love our adult beverages in WDW :drinking1He is an almost-exclusive beer drinker, while I'll have a little of everything.

I highly, highly recommend the popcorn cart in Canada by the Le Cellier entrances. DH has fallen in love with the Unibroues there, but our new favorite beer is St Ambroise Apricot Wheat. It's the most refreshing beer I've ever had at Disney, especially if the heat is scorching. I believe they occasionally rotate the beers out here, so your mileage may vary, but absolutely check it out!

At the UK I enjoy a Strongbow Cider, or on our last trip a Cider & Black (Strongbow & Blackcurrant, less dry & sweeter). DH loves whiskey, so at the pub inside Rose & Crown he will order the Johnnie Walker Flight, which is pours of Black, Green and Gold. It's one of the few places you can find Green we were told, so if either of you are whiskey fans I would check it out!

In China our friends rave about the Canto Loopy (I'm not a cantaloupe fan, so I can't speak to it myself) and I've heard the Tipsy Ducks in Love is one of the strongest drinks on property (I don't eat chocolate, so again can't say myself!)

In La Cava I enjoy the Avocado margarita, though I've been tempted to try others!

Finally, we simply adored Trader Sam's our last trip. Get there by 3:30pm (bar opens at 4:00pm) if you don't want to wait as long to get inside (and trust me, you want to sit inside!) thanks to the limited capacity. We arrived at 4:30pm on a Monday night in June and only had to wait about 30 minutes (we just explored the Poly shops) but the later you get, the more crazy it'll be. The drinks are fantastic, the shenanigans are worth seeing, and we can't wait to go back! I had the Polynesian Pearl and DH had the HippopotoMai-Tai and we would both get them again. All drinks there come with a souvenir version of the specialty glass you can take home, and if you're looking to save money you can ask the server for no souvenir glass (except for the Polynesian Pearl, because the glass is plastic & can't be reused at WDW you have to take that one home with you). Under 21s are allowed in up to a certain hour (I want to say 9pm, but double check to be sure).

Happy drinking!

We must have gotten lucky during our trip in June, we walked right into Trader Sam's, no line, no wait! It was at about 9pm on a Tuesday, maybe that had something to do with it, but we were surprised to get right in. Worth a trip to see and be a part of all the fun in there!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We are planning to try to get to Trader Sams at 330 on a Tuesday of our Trip to get in at opening. We have a 530 ADR at Kona Cafe that day figured we could get a drink or two and maybe an appetizer before dinner. We have a 7 year old I know kids aren't allowed in after a certain time will it be Kosher for him to go in there at 4 pm though. I think he will enjoy all the cool effects as much as we will.

Raglan Rd has a large beer selection with flight options, whiskey and scotch flights, wine, and mixed drinks. You can order your drink of choice without regard to what's on the menu, of course. We've always been pleased with the food AND beverages. DH has announced that he's going to have the whiskey flight for dinner and bread pudding for dessert next time we go! He was too full to finish his pudding last time and doesn't want to make the same mistake, again LOL!

I like very tart cocktails, like a French 75. I usually just get wine instead of gambling on something too sweet. The red sangria at Via Napoli is my only exception ;)

I absolutely endorse this message :-) The margaritas at La Cava are incredible. This is the one drink at Epcot that I always stop for. I've had the Avocado and also the Blood Orange. Avocado was my fav. The tequila is a heavy, substantial pour so one will likely do 'ya unless you are a tequila veteran. They are also $ but the value is there if you love your margaritas. You might also share with your husband but for many this would be a no go as they are so yummy. Enjoy!
