No Trips in 2015 turns into 3 Trips in 2015--Update 4/24/15 -- Page 31

OHHHH i'm hungry just thinking about all your plans... I would KILL from some tonga toast RIGHT NOW... i need to make some.
isnt' this weather fantastic?!?! almost all the snow is GONE here!!! some little bit which the kids are throwing AT the house as i type this.. they are so excited to be OUT!!!

I'm trying to remember what we had at Kona. I think one of us got Tonga, and the other of us got a "normal" eggs and bacon breakfast. All great! And coffee. A heavenly pot of pressed yumminess.

The pressed pot of Kona coffee looks wonderful. I could probably handle that all by myself. ;)

Your Magic Kingdom day looks fun. Is there anything special that you always order at the Plaza? I've heard that the french fries are good.

You had me at Kona!!! Love that place!

A whole day at MK sounds wonderful. We did that once (on our first Universal trip). 13 hours from rope drop to almost closing. Truly magical!

Great Fast Passes!

I know it is one of your must-dos but we haven't eaten at The Plaza. The Columbia Harbor House is our go-to.

:goodvibes:

I can't remember the last time I saw a picture of the castle without that darn crane. A whole day at MK sounds lovely.

Yikes Finally caught up - I see the whip picture made an appearance.

Loving the plans so far. I think you need to pencil in a DISmeet..... :rolleyes1

Hi Kathy Looks like so much fun! Touring with Mary will be great! Are you the one who introduced her to DVC?
Gotta love that Kona coffee. We are doing the one park a day with a resort day and BB mixed in, so our days will be pretty full. We're trying to get walking and be in shape for it. Hope the rain holds off for a while.
Things are getting crazy around this thread! :earseek:

Kathy, it does not take that long to get behind on a KatMark TR... I'm with you on the weather, it has been a long cold, no make that a very cold winter. I was finally able to see something I last saw two months ago... GRASS. :rotfl:I wish we were forecast to have 60 degree's coming up, but low 50's will have to do for now.

Love your day 5 plans and starting off at Kona Cafe. I'm not a big coffee drinker, however Carolyn shares your love for Starbucks and a cup of java in the morning and I'm sure she would love to try that pressed pot coffee. Hopefully the Poly will have most of the construction done when you are there; it was such a mess when we stopped to visit in June.

I can't think of a better place to spend than an entire day in the MK... Well, yes I can, Epcot is pretty good as well. :goodvibes I'm sure you are going to have a great time. Your FP+ lineup is a pretty good one as well. When we go back in June each of these are on our to do list as well. I have yet to try the Plaza Restaurant for a meal, I'm sure one of these days I will. :thumbsup2

Ah, an entire day at Magic Kingdom, started out with a breakfast at Kona.... Sounds just lovely!!

Kona Cafe is a great breakfast spot to visit before a day at the MK. Nice and relaxing before the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Ooh, BTMRR and 7 Dwarves and hopefully Festival of Fantasy....the best of the Magic Kingdom! I'm sure Day 5 will be quite fun.

Your plans look perfect Kona for breakfast followed by a full day at MK.:flower1:

Thanks, Kristin.

OHHHH i'm hungry just thinking about all your plans... I would KILL from some tonga toast RIGHT NOW... i need to make some.

At least I didn't add pictures of the food. ;)

It really is. It's a bit chilly downtown with the wind off the lake, but by the time I get to the train, my coat is off on my walk to my car. I'd say 90% of our snow is gone. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Tonga Toast!! Yummmm!!

Mark likes it (me, not so much).

I'm trying to remember what we had at Kona. I think one of us got Tonga, and the other of us got a "normal" eggs and bacon breakfast. All great! And coffee. A heavenly pot of pressed yumminess.

I've had the make your own omelet, the waffle and the pancakes...all delicious. I really like their pancakes. And the coffee is to die for. I must remember to see if they sell Kcups while we are there for my Keurig at home.

The pressed pot of Kona coffee looks wonderful. I could probably handle that all by myself. ;)

Trust me, I make Mark order his own because he is NOT getting a drop of mine.

Your Magic Kingdom day looks fun. Is there anything special that you always order at the Plaza? I've heard that the french fries are good.

I go back and forth between the burger and the turkey club. Mark usually gets the Reuben or the Cheese Steak Sandwich. One of us orders fries and one the potato chips. I love both the fries and the chips and we share. They have the best fries in ALL of Disney.

You had me at Kona!!! Love that place!

It's hard not too, Dee. :)

A whole day at MK sounds wonderful. We did that once (on our first Universal trip). 13 hours from rope drop to almost closing. Truly magical!

It's been a LONG time since I got there at opening and stayed until closing. Let's see how this old gal does it.

Great Fast Passes!

Thanks.

I know it is one of your must-dos but we haven't eaten at The Plaza. The Columbia Harbor House is our go-to.

:goodvibes:

We do Columbia most of the time for our quick service at MK, but the Plaza has just become a last meal tradition for us over the years.

I can't remember the last time I saw a picture of the castle without that darn crane. A whole day at MK sounds lovely.

Oh, I was having trouble getting into Photobucket and that was the first one I could grab. I have several lately without the crane. Thanks...I'm looking forward to a full day there.

Yikes Finally caught up - I see the whip picture made an appearance.

Someone was being a bad boy so it had to be posted.

Loving the plans so far. I think you need to pencil in a DISmeet..... :rolleyes1

I had heard that might be a possiblity from Marv. We will have to talk before the trip.

Hi Kathy Looks like so much fun! Touring with Mary will be great! Are you the one who introduced her to DVC?

Actually, Mary bought DVC back in the late 90's.

Gotta love that Kona coffee. We are doing the one park a day with a resort day and BB mixed in, so our days will be pretty full. We're trying to get walking and be in shape for it. Hope the rain holds off for a while.

Best coffee ever.I'm hoping to get outside and start walking now that our weather is finally warming up.
Things are getting crazy around this thread! :earseek:

You know those boys...always starting trouble.

It's actually been very quiet on the DIS. I think a lot of people still are getting used to the new set-up. Yes, it was a very cold winter, and I am so happy for grass again. We can see about 90% of ours.

I'm not a big coffee drinker, however Carolyn shares your love for Starbucks and a cup of java in the morning and I'm sure she would love to try that pressed pot coffee. This is why Carolyn and I get along...she knows the good stuff. It was a mess when we were there in September. And, although I've seen pictures of the new lobby, I still don't like it. I like the old one!

I agree with you there, Bob. MK is my favorite place to spend a whole day. You must try the Plaza one of these trips.

Ah, an entire day at Magic Kingdom, started out with a breakfast at Kona.... Sounds just lovely!!

Thanks, Darla. I think it will be a very good day.

Kona Cafe is a great breakfast spot to visit before a day at the MK. Nice and relaxing before the hustle and bustle of the parks.

We love Kona (just wish it hadn't take us so many years to finally get there).

Ooh, BTMRR and 7 Dwarves and hopefully Festival of Fantasy....the best of the Magic Kingdom! I'm sure Day 5 will be quite fun.

I have to remember to write down the parade times so I don't forget this trip.

CAught up! Your plans are sounding really great.
Ooh your hotel.. so nice! What a view!!

I had heard that might be a possiblity from Marv. We will have to talk before the trip.

Why, whatever could you be talking about? ;) ;)

I really, REALLY hope we can make this a big, and fun Meet!! I haven't met so many of you awesome peeples yet! (And I do have some small little ummm.... gifts I could pass along. For more extortion type material...

Thanks, Cheryl. I'm getting very excited about our room/view and the trip. :)

Liesa, this is a DIS meet this May. But I am going to try to be there when you go in 2016. If we move, we can drive. If we push the move back a little because I become a grandma, then maybe we can just make an October trip.

Wha....?!!! OH man I wish school was out sooner!! Dang it!! Even if I wasn't done this year with the program, I won't be done until June this year. BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Sounds like the recipe for a perfect day!!! :cloud9: I'm quite tempted to try Kona myself as I've never been! However, I already have two ADRs lined up and it's just me this trip so I'm not sure if I'll decide to try for Kona or not... I'll have to see how my FP+s work out next week and see if I want to try to get over to this much acclaimed spot!

Speaking of... excellent FP+s that you have lined up for that day! :thumbsup2

Looks like a great MK day! I don't think I have ever eaten at Kona or the Plaza (in WDW). We are still in the phase of life where any breakfast must have characters. Someday, that won't be required and I will get to try other places. We ate at the Plaza in DL this summer and it was fantastic! I wonder how similar or different they are.

Hi Kathy!

I love Sci-Fi, we used to go there all the time when I was growing up. I haven't been there in so long though. But I'm so excited to hear about your experience at Trattoria al Forno. We went to Kouzzina when it was open and loved it so it should be interesting to see how Trattoria is.
I'm so jealous you'll be there for F&G, I've been to F&W but I've always wanted to see all of the amazing garden displays and topiaries.
We love love love Kona!! Best coffee, and fantastic breakfast and it's always a good excuse to go to the Poly.
I'm sure you and Mary will have a great time spending a full day at MK!
